Nick joined SES Energy in 2005 as Project and Facilities Supervisor and has held various roles across the business before stepping into his current role as General Manager, Middle East and North Africa. In this position, Nick holds overall responsibility for P&L as well investment and growth across the region, including offshore containers and aviation. Nick has a master’s degree from the University of Aberdeen and has also participated in a number of specialist Management and Finance Programmes at INSEAD Business School, including the Swire Advanced Management Program. In his spare time, Nick enjoys competitive running and fitness as well as supporting his children’s’ rugby club.

Wayne Charles

Wayne Charles joined SES Energy in August 2004 as a fabrication/welder, during his time in the workshop he mainly focused on refurbishment of our fleet to ensure that our offshore containers were delivered to a high standard of repair, along with the providing fabrication solutions to meet our customers diverse requirements. As Swire diversified into offshore workspaces, Wayne was selected to head up an expanding team focused on the manufacture of offshore workspaces designed to DNV2.7-1,DNV2.7-2 and to meet customers’ exacting requirements in terms of all aspects of product management. During this time Wayne further developed his knowledge and understanding of DNV, NORSOK and NOGEPA standards, which extended his exposure into the subtle differences of product design, coating and lifting requirements required to meet the customers demands and ensure Swire delivered our products to match their needs. During this time Wayne got more involved with direct contact with the end customer. Wayne’s role later extended to overseeing the Rental Yard, responding to customer needs in a dynamic and ever evolving landscape. As SES Energy developed the Integrity Services Offering, this created an opportunity for Wayne to return to his roots by taking on the role as Services Manager: overseeing fleet repairs/refurbishment as well as the highly detailed and rigorous compliance planning associated with modifications, upgrades, refurbishment and new builds, with all work being completed to external customers’ requirements, supporting this with compliant certification and documentation verified by DNV GL/Lloyds. This success of this role is underpinned by ensuring the correct weld procedures and qualifications are in place to carry out all tasks. External verification of completed project is conducted by independent load testing of any new builds or structural repairs, witnessed, where appropriate, by the relevant certifying body.
